Cookies

I have to ask the school to stop selling their cookies. It is way too delicious to exist.

So since the new school term started, the drink stall had started selling cookies. Like medium sized, warm ones. This little piece of heaven comes in three toppings/flavors and each of them is wonderful. It's been a hit with the students, running out rather quickly during the breaks and after school.

But it's so ADDICTIVE.

Hendrik suggested that they put weed inside the cookies. Hahahah. Just like that The Big Bang Theory episode where Leonard, Raj and Howard got high on weed cookies. Weird writing tone aside, the cookies are actually really tasty and chewy. Would be awesomer if they were bigger though xP


Anyway watching Kick Ass right now. 40 minutes into the movie and I already think that it's super awesome. Like SUPER AWESOME. Risque jokes, ordinary guy turns badass (or in this case, Kick Ass. Dohohoho!) and it even has Nicolas Cage with a moustache playing an unfunny dad. Ah well, gonna go and finish the movie now.

Talking about Knight, here's a puzzle from professor Richard Wiseman's blog, which I follow very closely. So a few days ago I bought a Sherlock Holmes book, The Sign of Four. The first ten pages depicted Mr Holmes taking his dose of cocaine and showing off his power of deduction. It's quite rare that I manage to read a book without wanting to doze off. Finished the book after two days? Well it was a short book anyway.

I once read that to make a story work, you need a good character 'cause you can follow a strong character through a bad plot but not a weak character through a good plot. And I think, besides all the other factors such as the train of thought that Sherlock Holmes have and all the other cool stuff in the book, that that is the reason why this book worked. Each character had a distinct and unique personality that contributes to the plot and why the mystery is solved. Planning to buy the rest of the books, since it's so awesome heheh.

ANYWAY there's only one week of holidays left before school starts and I basically studied very little during the holidays. Should study more. Study study!! A few months left before the big papers. Can't be distracted anymore, not by the internet not by anything. Must make it without regrets man.

My whole body's aching after yesterday's 4-hour long soccerfest during ISG. Ran a lot in the field whooosh! Now I can barely lift my foot to knee level, climbing the stairs hurted a lot. Dear Muscles, please stop aching.

Squash

Had an awesome day today!

Helped mom move furnitures around and basically do chores in the morning. Since my house is super dusty after all that moving, my mom and I had our bout of allergy. Our noses are very sensitive to dust so we sneezed a lot. At the end of the day my mom got kinda sick so she just left her room, the last place to clean, in kind of a mess. Sad ):

My mom went out with my bros and aunt to get lunch. For some reason I was left behind at home. Home alone! Didn't set up traps for robbers tho. She came home like wayy past lunch time and I was cringing in my bed 'cause I didn't have any breakfast at all. Conversation went like this

[A]: "Moooomm vhere are youuuu"
[M]: "Serangoon. 30 more minutes dear"
[A]: "Okay.... fasteeeerrr"
[M]: "Yes we're already moving into the car"

By that point of time I still had that sparkle in my eye, that tiny sliver of hope that I was finally getting food.

GAHHH. Ate the food rather quickly cause I was going over to Shaft's to play squash/tennis or smth. Got a headache after eating? Shouldn't trust Serangoon's food haha!

Oh and today was quite hot in the afternoon! So we (Shafeeq, Hazwan, Aiman and I) decided to play tennis first. For some reason i got the racquet that made my hand black cause it left like bits and pieces of the grip on my hand. Quite gross.

The first serve was quite cool. It was spot on. It was fast. It was accurate. It was mindblowing. But the subsequent hits and serves after that was pure chaos hahaha. Only one of us knew how to play and he haven't played for a very long time. So that 30 minutes we spent playing "tennis" was more of a pick-up-the-ball-from-the-gutter game haha. But the mini tennis at the end was fun though xD

After that we played squash, which is FAR easier to get hold of. After tinkering with the amount of power and like angles for a few games, we got the hang of it. played for like one hour plus? Lots of, literally, rofl moments. We should have video-ed it man!

Reached home quite late after that. Still feeling quite spent.

Today could've ended quite differently if I went with the original plan. I'd still get home at around the same time, but I'd be poor and have no money. Haha! Gotta go notebook hunting soon yeah?

So I watched the Karate Kid (apparently known as BEST KID in South Korea. Wow) yesterday. Overall, it was a good movie. But something was missing though (no, not Pat Morita. HAHA).

Even though some might argue that it was what brought essence to the movie, Jaden Smith is kind of an, well, ass. In Roald Dahl's Dahlmanac 2, Roald Dahl stated something in the lines of make the villain worse than you can imagine so when he is defeated, the readers will get a good feeling or smth. Sure, the villain in the movie was a total wipe, fighting a new kid on the block for dancing so well. I mean, that was some sweet moves that he put up in front of the girl. Then him and his boygang attacked Dre (Smith's character) with some awesome kung fu moves. Repeat for the first hour.

Anyway back to the main character. Smith's character (or maybe himself in real life) is really annoying and big headed. Like if I was Jackie Chan I'd beat him up along with the other kids too. In the end, the bad guy (Cheng) looked more like a chivalrous, sportsmanly character when he decided to personally hand the trophy to Dre, who looks like a clueless, arrogant kid in comparison.

Despite the identity/character crisis in the movie, the training scenes were still awesome. The fighting scenes were awesome. And Jackie Chan's emotional scene was awesome too! Oh by the way, Jackie Chan speaks in a way that reminds us all of the "Confuscius Say" jokes. Which is kinda funny when he whips out his amazing one-liners.

So Kenneth (chiang) asked me to write about Rhapsody for the school paper. That's like, awesome, since I've never gotten a place in the school paper whooooshh!! No one will prolly read it but still hahaha.

anyway, I don't have a lot of things to say..since nothing's been going on in my life during the holidays. My family's away in Indo, so I'm like home alone. Watching TV is creepy cause I keep having the feeling the someone's watching me from outside the window. Which would be really creepy since there would be nothing to step on if anyone were to stand outside my window. So you start imagining stuff, and the "CK CK CK CK CK" sound that lizards make REALLY annoys me and I'm thinking of like catching all the lizard in my house and set them free in like, the swimming pool. Teach them how to swim and make money from my swimming lizard circus!

Wait, scratch that idea what if the lizards drown.

So tomorrow I'm going out with Shaf to study (cause Rifdi bailed out and Cedric had to take his granny to the hospital). The last time I studied with shaft we ended up calculating the amount of energy it takes to lift a 10kg weight and how much calories it'll burn. Haha we need to lose weight :|

I JUST BURNT MYSELF.

So as some of you know my room smells of crap and my mom decided that scented candles and air purifiers would do the job. I guess it did 'cause it didn't smell as bad and I could actually bear to sit in my room for a while. But if you know me at all (HI RIFDI JAHAHA), you'll know that I could hurt myself even if you left me in a room full of bubble wrap/all those safety thingies. So I got bored since barely anyone is online and whoever was on was doing something so I stared at the candle. 'Cause I watched HIMYM like a few hours ago, Barney's trick popped in my mind. I remembered that Alex said that you can do lotsa stuff with flash paper, so I took a tissue paper and lit it on fire.

Note to self: Don't light your tissue papers on fire.

The tissue paper burnt A LOT faster than I expected. The fire crawled (crawled? Fast crawling I guess haha) up the tissue paper and reached my hand. My door's made of wood so I was scared that it would ignite if I tried to open it, cause both my hands were on the tissue paper. And I can't possibly drop it cause my floor's made of wood too. I tried blowing the fire but the only thing that happened was that some ember flew out and the fire got BIGGER. Sonofa. So I used my feet to open the door and by the time the tissue got to the (thankfully ceramic) sink, it kinda burned me a little. So yeah tough luck.

Oh did you know that burnt and burned are both grammatically correct? Was reading 'My Grammar and I (Or Should That be Me?)' (great book, buy it) and it said that the key to this thing is that it could be used if it sounds right hahaha. Most of the time. Works with superlatives and comparatives too.

Got my results back today. L1R5 is 20. So glad I didnt get over 20. But must studdehhh this holidays and after term starts cause I just realized that o levels and prelim 2s are SUPER close.
Oh and I must go for choir tomorrow! Dear universe, can't you just let me sleep in for once. Been busy the whole week man! I'm sure that I'll spend most of tomorrow stuck inside the store room looking for original scores for Ave Maria, Occhi and Pasigin. Blablabla life is so boring! I need to start studying soon cause I just realized that it's around 5 months before the main O levels papers come. Anyone wanna study together? I can't study alone I'll start drawing on my books and i need someone to stop me haha!

Since nothing thought provoking happened today (well there WAS Mr Zuraimi's speech but I'm just too lazy) I shall narrate my day to the lot of you here.

So i woke up at like 6.50? But then i decided to sleep again because for some reason the sleep last night felt SUPER good and the bed was pulling me in. Woke up after 10 minutes, bathed and stuff and walked out of mah door. I realized that I forgot the keys to the side gate so i had to walk back, which made me miss the bus. So I walked to the 16 bus stop then i'm pretty sure that i stepped on some kinda animal poop cause my shoe smelled after that. Got on the busss. Then saw peizhen boarding the bus at her bus stop so I asked her to look back. She was too lazy to. She got off and I showed her a raptor face haha. Turned out I was 20 minutes late. Ms Ho just nodded her head then I went to my desk. Can't remember the rest of bio cause I was sleeping most of the time. Then came recess then SS lecture. Sat in the front row so people kept throwing eraser pieces towards my direction which is like really annoying and shite so nick koh and i decided to dump some of it to the lower level hahahaha. After that was chem. Chem was okay. I managed to stay awake 'cause her lessons are interesting haha. At the end of the day Mr Zuraimi showed us some statistics about our maths result and turns out our class did like mother crap cause our MSG for Amaths and Emaths were 4.2 and 2.9 respectively. Walked to the VJ bus stop with stanson after that and we made tan people jokes haha! Then went homee and nearly missed my stop cause for some reason the bus was damn shiok. ached home to find out that my bro's and mom's room were being painted which kinda sucks cause the painters need to walk in and out of my shared bathroom and i can't take a bath in peace. Tried to run 3km after that cause Rifdi was all 3km-ish and stuff haha. Did it in 17 minutes? Man I suck hahaha. Then went back and ate dinner cause i was super hungry. Didn't get to play fifa with Shaft cause his siblings kept hogging the computer. Now I feel super sleepy. Shouldn't have ate so late. HAHA IT RHYMES. Ok no. You are crazy. I have cramps now great. Oh after that I watched Glee cause Glee is awesome and the episode was awesome! It's awesome that the club managed to scare the vocal adrenaline off haha cause the egg thingy they did was super horrible.

Barney Stinson!!! He's so awesome. I just got the first 4 seasons of How I Met Your Mother and I'm re-watching episodes I skipped 'cause Victoria's in it. She's quite an annoying character honestly.

So I didn't go to school early today. Like on time. I took out my oyepod and it wouldn't turn on? Got quite pissed 'cause that meant that i had to rely on my phone which sucks because the songs in it weren't arranged so OCD-ly.

The weather was amazingly cool today! It's been super hot these past few days and days like these don't come by often. Must've been the rain! Rain more!! Oh talking about rain the rain made the aircon in the bus super cold and my hair was standing and it made me want to pee. Cause it was cold. Just like MT O levels!! Should have brought a jacket for the exam man my bladder was about to burst that day.

So Ying Liang was watching some movie with chinese subtitles in class during Mr Koh's lesson cause, well, it was Mr Koh's lesson. Then after Mr Koh went out, he went in through the back door (what up high fivee!) and stared at Ying Liang's ipod.

[Mr Koh] : Wow.

HAHAHHA ALL HE SAID WAS WOW. He then took the ipod and went ahead to rub it on his arse while trying to put it in his pocket. When he realized that his back pocket had a button on it, he took out his phone and placed it on YL's table and then placed his ipod inside. Hahaha.
